On a low carb journey, the yearning for pizza is undeniable, and feels like a forbidden indulgence. This Low Carb “Deep Dish” Pizza recipe was developed to satisfy those cravings. Gone are the days of longing for traditional crusts laden with carbs. Instead, I introduce a chaffle-based crust that satisfies even the most discerning pizza connoisseurs.
After experimenting with various dough alternatives like fathead, cauliflower, and chicken, none quite hit the mark. However, a stroke of culinary inspiration led to the creation of the ultimate low carb pizza crust: the Garlic Bread Chaffle. This revelation transformed pizza night forever.
While the Dash Mini Waffle Maker works for standard chaffles, I highly recommend the traditional Belgian Waffle Maker for an authentic deep dish experience. Its larger size provides the perfect canvas for building layers of flavor.
